Sanseveria crochet

Here I am today to explain how to make this beautiful sanseveria. The inspiration came when, looking for yet another cactus tutorial, I came across this site

https://www.craftkitchen.nl/blog/226/gehaakte-plantjes

Beautiful, I said to myself, so I downloaded the tutorial .. Too bad, however, that it is in Dutch! T

here are many images but I don’t understand anything.

So I said to myself: it won’t be that difficult if others have already done it! In the end I came up with a solution of my own which I will now show you.

To understand well, keep an eye on the images of the original site!

What we need:

2 balls of 50 gr. of green wool

1 little yellow wool

1 ball of yarn

50 gr. of brown wool to make the earth Crochet 3,5

Other: Green wire (hobby shop)

Pliers for cutting the iron wire

Needle for trimming the threads and fixing the leaves

Scissors A plastic jar of 10 cm in diameter

Abridgmenti: mb single crochet, cat. chain

How to make Sanseveria: I made leaves in 3 different sizes that I combined into a plant. I inserted the wire into the leaves of the plant from both sides, to give it firmness. Leaf 1 x 3: These are the highest leaves.Chain 5 1 ch chain that will be used to hook the wire. Round 1: Lay the wire on the table. Make sure a piece of wire sticks out, because ultimately they are the roots of the plant and these are used at the end to attach the leaves to the ground. Make a loop Thread the green wool into the loop and secure the thread. Rounds 2 to 36: work 5 single crochets over the chain stitches plus 1 sc around the wire, a chain stitch and turn. Round 37: Work 2 sc together and finish the round with 1sc around the wire (4 stitches in total) Round 38: 2 sc together and finish the round with 1sc around the wire (3 in total) Round 39: 2 sc together and work the round and finish 1mb around the wire (2 in total) Round 40: 2 sc together or and finish with 1mb around the wire (1 stop) and fasten it. Fold the wire to make the tip of the leaf and work the whole leaf, in the other direction, with mb, hooking the wire to the leaf. Leave some wire for the second root of the plant (see photo). With yellow work another border of single crochets to complete the Sanseveria leaf. Leaf 2 x 3: these are the low leaves. Work 9 chains 1 that will be used to hook the iron wire. Attach the chains to the iron wire, everything is as before, only now the rounds are less. Rounds from 2 to 18: work 5 single crochets over the chain stitches plus 1 sc around the wire, a chain stitch and turn. Round 19: Work 2 sc together and finish the round with 1sc around the wire (4 stitches in total) Round 20: 2 sc together and finish the round with 1sc around the wire (3 in total) Round 21: 2 sc together and work the round and finish 1mb around the wire (2 in total) Round 22: 2 sc together or and finish with 1mb around the wire (1 stop) and fasten it. Fold a piece of wire to make the tip and work the whole leaf, in the other direction, hooking the wire to the leaf. Leave some wire for the second root the second root of the plant (see photo). With yellow work another border to complete the Sanseveria leaf. Leaf 3 x 3: The medium leaves Work 7 chains 1 that will be used to hook the wire. Round 1: Lay the wire on the table. Make sure a piece of wire sticks out, because ultimately they are the roots of the plant and these are used at the end to attach the leaves to the ground. Make a loop Thread the green wool into the loop and secure the thread. Rounds 2 to 30: work 5 single crochets over the chain stitches plus 1 sc around the wire, a chain stitch and turn. Round 31: Work 2 sc together and finish the round with 1sc around the wire (4 stitches in total) Round 32: 2 sc together and finish the round with 1sc around the wire (3 in total) Round 33: 2 sc together and work the round and finish 1sc around the wire (2 in total) Round 34: 2 sc together or and finish with 1sc around the wire (1 stop) and fasten it. Fold a piece of wire to make the tip and work the whole leaf, in the other direction, hooking the wire to the leaf. Leave some wire for the second root the second root of the plant (see photo). With yellow work another border to complete the Sanseveria leaf. Composition of the vase Fix the leaves with a needle and a thread. Let’s start with the longest leaves (Leaf 1). Then we pin the slightly shorter leaves (leaf 3) against the other leaves. Finally we put the shorter leaves all around (leaf 2) and you see that the plant forms more and more. The roots of the wire will go into the earth. EARTH for 10 cm jar. Round 1: magic ring with 1 chain and 6 p.b. inside (6). Round 2: 2 p.b. in each point of the previous round (12). Round 3: 1 p.b. and 1 increase for the whole round (18). Round 4: 2 p.b. and 1 increase for the whole round (24). Round 5: 3 p.b. and 1 increase for the whole round (30). Round 6: 4 p.b. and 1 au.
